MASCARADE EMERGING ARTISTS
Jonathan Santagada will work for one week with the new young artists, singers and repetiteurs, of “Mascarade Emerging Artists” in the wonderful palace of “Palazzo Corsini” in Florence.
Mascarade Emerging Artists is an opera training and performance programme run from the Mascarade Opera Foundation in Florence in collaboration with Teatro La Fenice in Venice for exceptionally talented young singers and répétiteurs.
Artists are given the opportunity to work alongside renowned singers, coaches, voice consultants and stage directors to enhance their technical capabilities and explore their artistic identities.
Training provision is carefully structured around performance opportunities, including access to main stage roles and covers at Teatro La Fenice. Through the programme’s collaboration with one of Italy’s major operatic houses, artists enjoy the unique prospect of translating what they have learnt into professional practice on stage.
Places on the programme are entirely funded with artists receiving scholarships for their training as well as maintenance and accommodation grants equivalent to entry-level salaried positions in the industry.
